The Sandhara is formed within the Island nation of Sri Lanka as a center for arts and culture, and it is formulated with a unique and a novel vision that appeals universally, by which it spreads the shade across different states, societies communities across the seas and beyond the shores, with a positive effort to create a better world for living.
The fundamental concept of Sandhara and the inception of Sandhara Center is ideologically architected to carry out research, diverse intellectual activities in different calibre and cast guidance in order to illuminate, enhance and rise the range of thinking and spirituality in mankind through arts and philosophy.
Diverse social intricacies, crises, conflicts, and ethnic issues that storms globally throughout many decades, have drastically and rapidly decayed the absolute value of humanity that should have prevailed in human minds and souls. By which the general lifestyle and livelihood of humans have been grounded on narrow political and commercial means and policies, which in reflectively have surfaced as a critical issue across the Earth.
Regardless of diverse social differences, weaving intellectual human and social activities, humanitarian ideologies and concepts along with aesthetics, arts and culture is a key conceptual exercise at Sandhara, and it enhances and empowers equality among mankind across the globe through every means of art.

- Design, plan, execute and conduct research works and researched based projects on arts and philosophy.
- Create and conduct collective activities on utilizing arts and aesthetics to promote and strengthen peace and reconciliation among different religions, nationalities, cultures, and philosophies.
- Conserve and preserve aesthetical and artistical creations of different religious and philosophical values.
- Provide guidance and guideline for the development of education in diverse avenues.
- Form an institution that enables all ethnics, religions philosophies and cultures collaborate with equal values on different aesthetic and artistic projects and works, regardless existing differences among the general society.
