Restoring Hope and Joy for Children Affected by Disaster

After the floods and the Ditwah cyclone in Sri Lanka, many children were emotionally affected by the disaster.

Following the devastating floods and the Ditwah cyclone in Sri Lanka, countless children were left facing emotional distress alongside material loss. While the generous public response focused largely on essential relief items such as food, clothing, and medical supplies, the emotional well-being of children often remained overlooked. Children process trauma differently, and the absence of comfort, play, and familiarity can deepen their sense of fear and sadness. By donating toys, we sought to address this unseen need—offering moments of joy, emotional relief, and reassurance during an uncertain time. These small gestures play a vital role in restoring hope, normalcy, and emotional strength in the lives of affected children.
